With the recovery of Brazil's port logistics and manufacturing industry, the demand for heavy-load handling equipment has increased significantly. Recently, a large logistics group customer from Brazil made a special trip to visit our company, hoping to find forklifts that can adapt to complex outdoor working conditions and have strong durability. After two days of inspection and test drives, they finally signed an order to purchase 30 internal combustion counterbalanced forklifts in one go, laying a solid foundation for our company's expansion into the South American material handling market.
The Brazilian customers focused their inspection on "outdoor adaptability" and "heavy-load capacity". Upon arriving at the base, they requested a test drive of the forklifts in simulated scenarios such as gravel roads and ramps (15°). When they saw that the forklifts could still drive stably with a heavy load of 5 tons and had a braking distance of less than 4 meters, they highly recognized the product performance and then gained an in-depth understanding of the production process and quality control procedures.
This internal combustion counterbalanced forklift is specially designed for outdoor heavy-load scenarios, with core advantages that meet the needs of Brazilian customers. In terms of heavy-load performance, it adopts a Model 490 diesel engine with a maximum power of 45kW and a rated load capacity of 5 tons, which can meet the needs of container loading/unloading and short-distance cargo transfer in Brazilian ports and logistics parks. The fork width is adjustable (800-1200mm), suitable for Brazilian standard pallets of different specifications. Meanwhile, it is equipped with a fork positioner to reduce the time for fork picking. In terms of environmental adaptability, targeting Brazil's high-temperature (up to 40℃ in summer) and dusty outdoor working conditions, the engine is equipped with a dual-fan heat dissipation system, and the air filter adopts a three-stage filtration design to effectively block dust from entering. The chassis is made of reinforced manganese steel, and after 2 million vibration tests, its impact resistance is 50% higher than that of ordinary forklifts, making it suitable for driving on rough roads. In terms of economy, the engine's fuel consumption rate is as low as 235g/kW・h, saving 15% of fuel costs compared with products of the same level. Moreover, vulnerable parts (such as brake pads and filters) have strong universality and can be easily purchased locally in Brazil, reducing later maintenance costs.
During the communication, the Brazilian customers were most concerned about two questions: first, whether the forklifts are compatible with local diesel grades (ethanol-blended diesel); second, the supply cycle of overseas spare parts. Our technical team responded: the engine has passed the compatibility test for Brazilian ethanol-blended diesel and can use local fuel directly; there is a parts warehouse in São Paulo with sufficient inventory of common spare parts, which can be delivered to the customer's location within 72 hours after ordering. Meanwhile, remote fault diagnosis services are provided to reduce downtime.
This large-value order is a recognition of our products' "durability, adaptability, and economy" by the Brazilian customer, and also allows us to see the huge potential of the South American material handling market. In the future, we will launch customized forklifts with rain shelters based on the outdoor operation needs of Brazilian customers and optimize the localized service team to provide efficient material handling solutions for more South American customers.
